SISTER TIME

My sister and I had a nice day just hanging out.  We went to the Mall looking for a case for my new phone, then on to Houston's for overpriced spinach dip and on to the Market downtown.  They're in the process of updating it and I think it's going to be really nice when they are done.

It was a nice relaxing day, very hot, but a good visit and a good day :)

Iphone 4 Day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok, just let me say this first.  If you are an early adopter and into technology you need to experience this at least once.  But, just once the next time I will have it shipped directly to my house.

FIVE HOURS LATER  :(

Almost almost almost there...

Finally inside and fifteen minutes later an iPhone 4........only five hours and fifteen minutes later.  Just this once, next time no lines for me :)

IT'S MAGIC ELIXIR

I haven't been able to figure it out.  I just can't figure out what's in it that keeps me and a lot of other unlikely people coming back for more.  I didn't even like it the first time I had it but mysteriously I keep going back for more and have been now for three or four years.

It's Pho (otherwise known as Vietnamese Noodle Soup) and there really is something medicinal about it.  It always seems to make my tummy feel better after eating it.

Like I said, don't know what it is, but when I went to get it today I wasn't sure I could eat because my stomach was a little upset.  But, very shortly after lunch I started to feel fine and have ever since.  It's just magic stuff I tell you, magic!

A DEPRESSING DINNER :(

This is a dying restaurant.  We ate here tonight.....well we tried.  The name is the Rose Tattoo and when it first opened the chef "James Rose" was a very nice looking chefly, nice white jacket, sort of friendly guy and was doing pretty good.  But, then apparently something went wrong.  It was probably the economy as much as anything because the food was good, a little overpriced, but really good.


Tonight though was our last trip.  Apparently this place is hanging on by a thread and the food was terrible.

This is a ten dollar cheese plate.  Can you see the cheese, there it is on the far left, one inch slice of Brie and on the right that small little disc of some type of goat cheese.  Oh yeah, a few pistachios, four apple slices, a dap of two obviously jarred jellies and a couple of olives.  Ten Bucks!  The rest of the dinner was so bad I just don't want to talk about it.


This is a dying, in the throws of death restaurant and I don't intend to be there for the funeral.


Oh yeah, forgot the chefly fellow that owns the place now is the only waiter and wear a sloppy shirt, not tucked in, shorts and FLIP FLOPS!, and I'm pretty sure he has lost about thirty pounds.  I think he just needs to put this place and himself out their misery.

FODMAPS

I've been researching FODMAPS.  My doctor recommended that it had helped many IBS patients to eat a diet limiting something called FODMAPS.

This is the book he recommended.  It is sort of vague, but interesting.  If I can get more information on it I may just try it.  Couldn't hurt :)

WORKING ON LEARNING TO USE THAT NEW CAMERA

Spent a lot of the day feeling crappy and working with my new camera to learn to use it better and then to enhance, called Post Processing now the image after the fact.


I think I did well on a couple of my pics.  

They seem more alive and vibrant and more dimensional and I like that.  Next I'm working on HDR pics.  Okay they also look a little out of focus, but I think that's just the computer because they don't look that way except on this page.

HARLEQUIN SHRIMP-THE NEWEST ADDITION TO THE 150 SALTWATER

So the newest addition is this very strange looking little shrimp.  He's really cute and supposed to be in the tank to eat baby starfish.

If he does his job and doesn't get eaten immediately by the anemone I will be amazed!

STILL HAVE PLANTING TO DO

Don't know exactly why but I still feel like crap.  My side is still hurting and I have plants that have to get planted.  So my DH was so kind as to at least empty the old dirt and plants from the pots I needed to use.

And the Hydrangeas, is that spelled right, anyway they are really pretty right now.  I intended to move them, but never got it done so I have to wait until the season is over.  So for now, they are here but pretty.

I STILL DON'T FEEL GOOD

Still had the pain in my side, so today it was off to the doctor.

He doesn't know what's wrong, but Shingles was a bit of a possibility so we started on meds for that. Lord knows I don't want to do the Shingles thing again.  But, if that isn't it then he just doesn't know and I will try something else.  He also thought it could be muscular or maybe intestinal.

THIS WHOLE THING REALLY PISSES ME OFF!!!!!

I just don't think this was something that had to happen and it makes me mad.  Everybody in the government seems so inept they should just all be kicked out.  I think all of us untrained people could do a better job.

MY SON CAME HOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

He's home and he is looking great.

LAST NIGHT ENDED WITH A VERY VERY BAD PHONE CALL

As soon as we got home from our dinner with Sandra and Peter we got a call from our Daughter in law that our son was in the hospital and had just had a HEART ATTACK.

Needless to say, that was a really bad night and today was spent at the hospital.

But he's okay, Thank God!

VISIT WITH SANDRA AND PETER

My very longest friend and her significant other were in town tonight and we met at Oar house for dinner.  

It was a great visit and I really like Peter.  Sandra seems very happy and that makes me happy.  Oddly we were so busy talking I forgot to get their picture but here's one off her FB.

We ate at the Oar House in Rockwall.  DH and I have always loved the food there.

The restaurant is built in an old house and has lots of good character.

It was a good and too short visit.

FOUR LINED PLANT BUG

This is a four lined plant bug.

It seems that all my plants, well the biggest majority of them seem to be his favorite place to be as he is on most everything I am trying to grow.  I shall destroy him.  The battle begins tomorrow!

I didn't feel very well today. So it was a day of rest.

BURGERS AND MOVIE NIGHT

Tonight I wasn't feeling all that well.  So instead of cooking we went for burgers at Red Robin.

And then came home and relaxed with a movie.

BONNIE RUTH'S

Husband picked the restaurant tonight. Aside from driving forever to get there, we liked it.

We'll go back, but only after they move to a closer location.

Oh yeah, blew my diet too. :(
